Ramen Shibire
Total bill: ₱1,448.75
Cost per person: ₱724.38
What I ordered & my thoughts:
Ebi Miso Ramen (₱430, Thin Noodle, Spicy level 2): Served piping hot, with a rich, layered broth. The wonton was flavorful and the chashu tender melts in your mouth. The portion was generous, with plenty of condiments and spices to adjust the flavor. Spicy level 2 starts mild but gradually builds up, spicy and seriously satisfying 🌶️.
Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen (₱430, Spicy level 2): Another hot bowl with a rich, creamy broth and a good kick of spice.
Ooban Gyoza (₱180, 3pc): Huge and packed with meat, though I wished the skin had been crispier.
Karaage (₱290): A pleasant surprise! Thin, crispy coating with tender, juicy chicken inside, nicely balanced and very hard to stop eating.
Overall experience:
The seating faces the central cooking area, making it better suited to solo diners or small groups. Each seat even has its own phone stand.
The location is slightly away from the high street but easy enough to find. Service was warm and attentive, with staff quick to notice what we needed. There’s also a restroom and disposable bibs, so you can enjoy your ramen without worrying about making a mess.
My review:
Rich shrimp-infused broth with customizable spice levels isn’t easy to find locally. As someone who loves both rich ramen and a good kick of heat, I found it seriously satisfying.
